One of the many things I’ve learned about flashing roms is no rom is ever perfect. There will always be that little something that bugs me. However, I find SkyRaider Zeus Preview to be nearly flawless. In fact better that an official carrier stock rom. If you have your Android device rooted and decide to venture out into the forum world you will find options galore.
In my hand is the HTC Incredible 2. Rooted? Check. Warranty voided? Check. Freshly flashed rom and mods? Check.
The rom I seem to always come back to is Ihtfp69’s SkyRaider Zeus Preview found at Team Bamf Forums. I’m partial to the rom mod work of asollerd. His mods can be found very near a quality HTC rom.
What’s under the hood of SkyRaider?
Ihtfp69 used the Sense 2.1 rom base and then enhanced and optimized basically everything. The power button shows more options including a screenshot function. Restart gives 4 options. The status bar was completely remodeled. Recent apps are no longer fixed at the top of the drop menu. Now triggered by a long press on the status bar. The drop menu tabs have been removed. Quick setting are shown by a tap on the status bar. You will find a total of 17 quick settings. What more can a guy ask for? Skins? You bet. All skins have been enhanced with a nice edge glow. Interestingly enough any Sense 2.1 skin will work on SkyRaider. What about some Sense 3 goodness? You will br pleased to find there’s just enough to be pleasant and not ao much to be overkill. Lock screen, incoming call screen, photo album, mms/sms, clock, stocks, friend stream and weather all Sense 3.
