Snow Plow Saves The Day

Posted on January 27, 2014June 20, 2014 by qball45

I came across a drift so deep and long there wasn’t any chance of me driving the rig through it.  Fortunately I didn’t have to wait long for this plow truck to show up and open the road up.  Delivery was an hour late but arrived in tact and not stuck in the ditch. –QBall45

Tracks

I always love seeing my tracks in the snow.  They reveal exactly what it takes to maneuver a rig into a spot for uploading.

Go By Truck

Posted on December 20, 2013June 20, 2014 by qball45

Rain or shine.  Sleet or snow.  Even in darkness we American Truckers move the freight that keeps America going.  Remember to thank a trucker for the things you by at the store.  Without em you’d have nothing.  –QBall45

Stuck In Traffic

Posted on December 17, 2013June 20, 2014 by qball45

I always love being stuck in stop and go (mostly stop) traffic in the Twin Cities.  It just makes me oh so happy.  Not! High winds made my trip through La Crosse WI to Mankato MN most enjoyable.  The road surface wasn’t bad on I-90.  It was just a nasty cross wind.  Hwy14 was another […]

Check Your Hoses

Posted on August 22, 2013June 20, 2014 by qball45

Just a reminder to be sure that you take a moment to inspect the hoses under the hood of your vehicle.  In this case you’re looking at an air conditioner line that managed to rub a hole in the top return line feeding the radiator on my 2010 Peterbilt.  This tiny little hole caused enough […]

Making Tracks

Posted on July 5, 2013June 20, 2014 by qball45

I always enjoy seeing my tracks on damp gravel.  I always feel like I’m cranking the wheel a lot more than what it appears that I actually do.

Snow?

Posted on December 28, 2012June 20, 2014 by qball45

Yesterday Minnesota and surrounding states were fairly well pounded by stormy weather.  High winds and heavy rain were common across much of the state. (I originally wrote this back on April 16,2012 and apparently forgot to publish it. Oops!) The weather man predicted snow overnight.  I thought “yeah right it’s middle if April.”  Much to […]

Snow in Central Minnesota – Are you prepared?

Posted on October 25, 2012June 20, 2014 by qball45

The first real snow of the season appears in Central Minnesota today. This is earlier than expected though not unusual. Are you prepared for winter? I know I’m not even close to being prepared. It’s time to get things ready for the long winter ahead. @QBall45
