Truckin

It’s simply unbelievable the number of Illinois residents that flood into Wisconsin.  Traffic looks like this almost every Friday morning all summer long. 

Spring brings difficulties as well as nice weather. It’s always the wrecker to the rescue.

Perfect driving conditions were difficult to find this week here in the upper mid west. Rain turned to sleet and then snow. Getting parked for the night is always a good feeling. I love salt on my fries. Unfortunately, not so much a fan of it on my rig.

Sometime back in mid summer the boss asked me to tell him what I wanted for a new rig. So, I spent some time pondering it and came to a decision. The Peterbilt 579 with a stand up sleeper. I compromised my preferred square hood for more room and comfort inside.

On the 27th of May I found myself in North Central Minnesota watching the storm clounds get ever closer. That was until the sky opened up and the rain poured down.

This morning eastern Minnesota and central Wisconsin saw a band of snow come through that generally jacked things up.   I’m not sure how much snow fell through it was more than the plows could keep up with.  This picture was taken in Wisconsin.  -QBall45
