Finding Christ on the Shop Floor

Finding Christ on the Shop Floor

We live in a world overflowing with anger, confusion, and distraction. But one thing has become clear — churches are filling again. People are tired of the noise. They are disgusted with the emptiness that social media, endless distraction, and the so-called “woke” philosophy have left in their hearts. They are beginning to see what should have been obvious all along: we need more Christ, not more empty ideology.

Christ is truth. Christ is life. Christ is the center we have lost.

For years, we’ve watched this nation drift. The smartphone in your pocket, the 24/7 connection at your fingertips — it promised progress, but it delivered decline. It’s never been easier to hide behind a keyboard, to tear someone down, to celebrate another’s death just because they didn’t share your politics. That is not strength. That is not righteousness. That is not who we were raised to be.

We didn’t used to have these problems. Technology, for all its advancements, has eaten away at our moral fiber. It was predicted long ago — and here we are, living it out. The light bulb flicked on. Captain Obvious is speaking: this decline is real, and it is right in front of us.

What happened to respect? To shaking a man’s hand, looking him in the eye, and debating face-to-face? Today’s society would rather mock, cancel, and destroy from a distance. And yet, once upon a time, if you mouthed off and crossed the line, you were corrected the old-fashioned way — quick, sharp, unforgettable. I’m not calling for violence, but I am saying this: we have lost the natural checks that once kept us decent, respectful, human.

And so, people are returning to the pews. They are realizing that the only true anchor in this storm is Christ. Not social media. Not politics. Not celebrity gossip. Christ.

This is not complicated. It’s plain truth. It’s Captain Obvious with a razor’s edge: we as a nation will not find peace, will not find unity, and will not find healing unless we put Christ back at the center of our lives.

It is time to turn off the noise. Lay down the phone. Walk into the sanctuary. Bow your head. Lift your eyes. And remember: Christ is still here, still calling, still waiting. The church is filling again for a reason. Will you answer?
