Selfish Ambition and the Root of Evil

Selfish Ambition and the Root of Evil

I’m not going to blame the problems of today on video games. That’s too easy, and honestly, it misses the point.

What we’re seeing in our country and in our communities is much deeper than pixels on a screen. The real problem lies in policies and priorities that intentionally degrade society, ignore God’s laws, and feed the sins of the mind and flesh. We’ve traded humility for pride, faith for politics, and responsibility for entitlement.

The truth is simple: we need more of God, and less selfish ambition. Because selfish ambition doesn’t just stop at being self-serving. It leads directly to sin. And sin is the root of the evil we’re watching unfold today — from broken families, to violence in our streets, to the confusion and despair that so many are drowning in.

There is only one way to the Father, and that is by following His teachings. Living life the way He intended us to. By following His Word and His laws. Remember the story of the ark — how God flooded the world to rid it of sin. We’re nearing a point in time where that’s going to happen again.

And here’s the thing: I am not just offering an opinion. I am preaching this truth. I may not have a building or a congregation, and I don’t hold the titles or degrees that some men hang on their walls. But I am an ordained minister of the Gospel, and my duty is to speak the Word as plainly as I can. To warn, to encourage, to call out sin, and to point people back to Christ.

Because in the end, no government, no program, no movement can save us. The only answer is a Christ-centered life. That’s it. Without Him, everything crumbles. With Him, we endure — even when the world shakes.

I preach it because I believe it. And I believe it because God’s Word has never failed.

A Christ-centered life is the only way to make it.
