Tools, Fire, and the Standard I Live By

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I work. How I move. How I lead.

And yeah, I’ve had help along the way — tools, tech, AI even. But don’t get it twisted: none of this works without me behind the wheel.

I’ve always been this way. Ask my mother — she’ll laugh and tell you it’s been “his way or not at all” since I could walk. It’s not ego. It’s not pride. It’s just… the standard. If it’s not right, it doesn’t get done.

No, I don’t need to know everything. I just need to know which way to go. Because everybody knows something, and the trick is knowing who to ask and when. I don’t fake expertise. I ask for support when I need it. I lean on the tools that work. I’ve learned to lead without pretending to be the smartest guy in the room — just the one who doesn’t quit.

These days, yeah, I use ChatGPT. But not like most people.

I don’t want AI to write fluff for clicks. I want help telling the truth. If there’s a law worth explaining, I want my people to hear it straight. If there’s a story to be told, I want it in my voice — not one manufactured by trend-chasers and marketing bots.

I’ve got a family to support. A business to run. And a hell of a story to tell.

This ain’t about shaving a few minutes off my workday. It’s about building something real with the time I’ve got.

So no — I don’t feel guilty. I feel efficient. I feel focused. I feel like the boss I was built to be.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re juggling everything at once, just remember:

You don’t have to carry the load alone.

Just make sure when you delegate, the standard never drops.

This ain’t Skynet. This is me.

Still calling the shots. Still building.

Still doing it my way.
