What is #TeamMyBBOTA?
After becoming frustrated with finding BlackBerry Themes on Crackbbery.com that were Desktop Manager install only Devan decided to do something about it.
On Nov 13,2009 Devan bought the domain name MyBBOTA.com
MyBBOTA.com has made many changes since it went “live” back in November of ’09. Naturally, there have been several “face-lifts” given to the site. As Devan put it, the first were on the ugly side.
Through a BlackBerry device sale transaction on Crackberry.com Devan met Andres aka @Acastro516. On the 4th of July 2010 Andres was added to MyBBOTA.com as an administrator due to increasing traffic.
It was not long after Andres joined the site when I received an email. Andres emailed asking for the wallpaper I had been using on the themes I was hosting on the site. Its funny, my answer was no but I can give you the original source link. Many emails later we had added each other the BBM, google talk and later (once I finally decided to join the crowd thank to @BigTechTony) Twitter.
It was around the time I released my QBall Fresh theme that Devan added me to his BBM list. After much chatter back and forth amongst the three of us, Devan decided he had had enough. “Enough” turned into our BBM group we call “the Cave.” This group formation was the real start of #TeamMyBBOTA. This group has served us well as a place for conspiratorial activities.
As site traffic continued to increase Devan decided that he and Andres could use a bit more help. On the 5th of October, 2010 I was officially, though quietly added as an administrator.
Since my addition to the team the site has continued to grow. You may have noticed that the “Spot Light” on the front page of the site started seeing regular updates with new content. This had been a challenge for Devan.
We have passed our one year anniversary and things continue to look good.
I do believe that just about sums up the question “What is #TeamMyBBOTA?”
