I’m sure you’ve read the Post I wrote on August 19th and know that I’ve switched jobs. Well, today was my first day as a dump truck driver. I’ve learned a bunch today and I’m totally exhausted. Pork chop dinner was just about ready when I arrived home this evening. I think it’s time to chill out with the family and watch some TV.
Naturally it wouldn’t be a proper first day on a new job without “breaking” something. On what was likely to be my final load of the day I had an airbag blow out on the front lift axle. The mechanics at the shop have assured me that they’ll have ‘er ready to work by the time I get to the shop in the morning.
And that’s a wrap! I’m physically and mentally exhausted. Time for a shower and my pillow.
